CCP MAIN BUILDING GLOWS WITH ‘GENESIS’ AMID REHABILITATION

Amid ongoing facade rehabilitation and travertine installation, the CCP Main Building comes alive with the colors of National Artist H.R. Ocampo’s Genesis, the iconic theater tapestry.

Designed by Monino S. Duque and executed by Jericho Pagana of the  Production Design & Technical Services Division, the lighting transforms construction scaffolds and safety nets into a vivid celebration of Filipino art and culture. It evokes the themes of renewal in National Artist Francisco Feliciano’s Transfiguration and Gustav Mahler’s Resurrection.

As the CCP Main Building prepares for its target reopening in 2027, the luminous facade offers a glimpse to the celebration of the Filipino soul.
