Globe and TM customers can now help end hunger in celebration of Project PEARLS’ 14th anniversary. They have a powerful new way to empower communities in need. Customers can donate as little as one Rewards point through the GlobeOne app. This contribution supports Project PEARLS’ essential programs in education, healthcare, and nutrition. Project PEARLS, a trusted partner of Globe’s hunger alleviation initiative, The Hapag Movement, has been tirelessly serving vulnerable communities since 2010. Addressing the Growing Need
Despite commendable progress, hunger remains a pressing issue in the Philippines. Since The Hapag Movement’s launch in 2022, over 95,000 Filipinos have received food packs, and more than 2,662 individuals have completed livelihood training—2,361 of whom successfully started their own small businesses. However, recent data underscores the ongoing urgency: In June 2024, 17.6% of Filipino families experienced involuntary hunger at least once, marking an increase from 14.2% in March 2024 (Source: Social Weather Stations).
